The Marrow Diary
(former title: "Mission: Remission")
Director: Nathan Ehrlich
Producer: Arnon Z. Shorr
A Letter from the Director Dear “Marrow Diary” supporters, I would like to extend my deepest thanks for your kind donations and support. Arnon and I have been blown away by the generous financial support this project has garnered due exclusively to your generosity. I have been able to get my foot and camera through the doors of some prestigious doctors, known for their contribution to Bone Marrow Transplantation -- something that would not have been possible without your generosity. “Marrow Diary” has grown in scope from our initial assessment with now over 35 hours of taped footage. Additionally we are delighted to report that the project has received non-profit status through the Children's Organ Transplant Association (C.O.T.A) so that any future donations will be tax-deductible. The unanticipated growth of the film, due in part to significant health interferences (which are hopefully on their way to remission just like my cancer has been for over 6 years) has delayed the film’s completion. I assure you that your donations are going to an important cause, and ask that you be patient with the film’s progress. We will be certain to keep you updated on the development of “The Marrow Diary.” Thank you so much for your continued support. Best Wishes, |

Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) recipient and filmmaker, Nathan Ehrlich, is seeking to enlighten an uninformed public, and in some cases, a poorly informed medical community, about a medical procedure that is becoming widely used for various illnesses. With the help of medical professionals and other patients like himself, he is looking to answer an important question - what type of physical and mental changes occur when one’s immune system is targeted for murder by chemotherapy and radiation, and is subsequently replaced with that of another human being?
