Kerreanna DiMauro, a graduate of Boston University, is a produced screenwriter and an award-winning actress. She has penned a handful of feature-length and short scripts in the action and comedy genres that have gone on to screen at prestigious film festivals. She wrote and starred in the now-cult “Seven’s Gate” film, which can be best described as a dark parody of the popular movie “Seven”. (Instead of the seven deadly sins, she replaced them with the seven dwarfs. Then, she killed them –- one by one. Cinematically, that is.) “Seven’s Gate” won BEST COMEDY PRIZE at the American Film Institute in Los Angeles and went on to screen at the Woods Hole Film Festival on Cape Cod. At the 2005 Sundeis Film Festival, she was awarded BEST ACTOR for her lead role as evil stepmother in the sci-fi thriller, “Avery’s Doll”. “Joan of Arc Works at the Gap” is her most recent fictional endeavor to date. At 24-minutes, it is a darkly satirical look at how Hollywood directors cast real cadavers as extras in their big-budgeted movies and how one determined actress gets a job at a bizarre morgue in hopes of achieving her thespian dreams. “Joan of Arc…” has screened at the Coolidge Corner Theater in Brookline, MA and the Embassy Theatre in Waltham, MA. Ms. DiMauro is a published nonfiction writer. Her articles have appeared in the Boston Herald and Italian America magazine. She currently works as a freelance writer for the legal publication, Quinlan Publishing.
